Respect Our Community

Our community thrives on openness and respect. Threatening, harassing, stalking, or expressing hateful or discriminatory views towards anyone is unacceptable.

New to dating online? Take it slow, read profiles carefully, and connect with others in discussions, threads, and chats. We’re a friendly and welcoming bunch.

Follow the Law and Our Values

Your safety is our priority. Follow our community rules, and report harmful behavior if you encounter it. Use the reporting tools or contact our Support for help.

Zero-Tolerance Policy for Child Exploitation

We uphold a strict zero-tolerance policy against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). Any content, behavior, or activity that endangers or exploits minors is expressly prohibited. Violations will result in immediate action, including removal of the content, permanent account suspension, and reporting to law enforcement authorities. Protecting the safety and well-being of all individuals, especially children, is our highest priority.

General Legal Constraints

- POPCORN is no place for terrorism, hate groups, illegal drug use, or organized crime.
- You must be 18+ to join.
- Unsolicited NSFW content, like cyberflashing, isn’t allowed. Offenders face warnings or bans.
- We proactively prevent CSAE by using advanced monitoring tools, such as AI-based algorithms and automated detection systems, to identify and block inappropriate content before it is published.
- Our dedicated moderation team reviews flagged content and user reports around the clock, ensuring swift and decisive action.
- We continuously update our tools and practices to stay ahead of emerging threats and protect the community.

If you encounter any content or behavior suggesting CSAE, report it immediately using our platform's in-app reporting feature or contact Support. All reports are treated with the utmost seriousness and are reviewed promptly.

Protect Personal Privacy

To protect users’ data, don't publish contact details in public spaces (e.g., chats, the Thread, profiles, or Tribes). Share personal information only via private message after building trust.

As Popsters, whether in your local or online community, respect others’ privacy. Don’t mention someone’s personal details without consent. Violators will be permanently banned and blocked from creating new profiles.

Collaboration with Authorities

We actively collaborate with trusted organizations like the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) and Thorn, as well as law enforcement agencies, to combat CSAE. Any confirmed violations are reported to authorities, ensuring swift resolution. We align our policies with global standards and work closely with child protection organizations to create a safer online environment for all.

Keep Business Aside

Offering or requesting money, advertising, or spamming is prohibited. For ad inquiries, contact us — we'd love to hear from you.

Academic and research requests are not allowed, but official institutions and press can contact us for collaboration opportunities.

Report Fakes and Multiple Profiles

Multiple accounts are against our Terms of Use. If you’re locked out, there’s usually a reason for it. If you can’t access your account, reset your password or contact Support — don’t create another profile. Multiple accounts are prohibited and will be removed, except for couples (one shared profile and individual profiles are allowed).

Report fake profiles anonymously through the 'Report' feature, and we'll take swift action. Don't post suspicions publicly.

If you spot someone violating our guidelines, help us by reporting. Your action can help keep our community safe.

Acknowledge Our Warnings

Breaking guidelines will result in a warning. Don’t panic — simply acknowledge it and follow the rules moving forward!

Content Restrictions

POPCORN isn’t a place to support or praise terrorism, organized crime, or hate groups. We have zero tolerance for sexual content involving minors, animal abuse, and necrophilia, along with racism, illegal drug use, and threats to post intimate photos of others.

Share your photos to grow our community. Nudity is visible only after users verify they’re 18+, log into popcorn.dating, and consent to NSFW content. No 18+ content can be shared on the POPCORN app otherwise, as per App Store and Google Play guidelines.

Share Content You Have the Rights To

Share only content you’ve created or have permission to share. Photos and videos should focus on you and not others unless clearly consented to. Unauthorized or inappropriate content will be removed.

If you appear in or own content uploaded to POPCORN without your consent, contact Support, and we’ll remove it promptly.

Restricted Categories

We reserve the right to remove content that contains:
- Distressing images.
- Contact information.
- Screenshots.
- People other than the profile owner(s).

Post Trusted Links Only

Links to trusted sources like YouTube, Vimeo, Wikipedia, and Instagram are allowed. Other external links are not permitted, except by moderators for technical support.

Be Responsible for Your Content

Authors assume responsibility for their Thread posts, ensuring originality, accuracy, and compliance with copyright laws. Photos and texts (such as song lyrics) are subject to copyright laws — ensure you understand this when posting content and acknowledge the material's original owner.

Chat & Thread Rules

Our free Live Chat and the Thread work well because users follow the guidelines. Familiarize yourself with them before entering discussions.
Chat rooms and the Thread are for users to connect and discuss topics. Treat each other as you would in person. Bullying and hostility are not tolerated. Be patient with those who are new to online dating.

Private Chat Rooms

Upgraded users can create private rooms. Choose a respectful, welcoming name for your room, and interact with others as you would in person. Avoid creating rooms on behalf of other users.

Free users can join chat rooms, but can't create them.

Avoid Requests in the Chat & Thread

Avoid posting what you're looking for in the chat or forum. Use your profile, Date Ads, or the 'browse' feature to contact others directly.

Moderators

Trained moderators keep things safe and enforce guidelines in the Live Chat and the Thread.
If you experience issues with another user in the Live Chat, use the 'Call chat moderator’ tool. If no moderator is available, report the user so that Support can take action. The 'Block' feature is at your disposal to block the user and avoid escalating a situation.

As a general rule in the Thread, our mods try to keep duplicate threads to a minimum. If your topic has already been discussed multiple times, you will be notified.

All mod decisions are final. Disputes should be directed to Support, not discussed publicly (we remove and give warnings for off-topic posts).
